Let me start by saying that I am obviously biased toward JJ breaking the record, but let's look at the facts. Johnson Central has Ashland, Belfry, a first round playoff game against ????? and if they win that then most likely Highlands. I may not have that straight but that seems like it's right???:idunno:??? So at least three of those games are against good if not VERY good defenses and while i want JC to finally beat Highlands we all know that is a mountain that most mountain teams haven't been able to climb. I'm optimistic that this is the year, but not arrogantly confident. My point here is that while JJ will most likely break the all-time rushing record in the next two weeks, it seems extremely likely that Wales will face some less potent defenses for the next couple weeks and during the playoffs and could very possibly make a deeper playoff run.

 

To me this means that while I wish JJ the best of luck breaking this record I also understand that Wales has worked hard and earned the opportunity to not only break the current record but possibly pull ahead of whatever number JJ finishes with. From what i've been told Mr. Wales is an incredibly talented and very nice young man who really has worked hard to help his team win and subsequently have a shot at this individual accomplishment.

 

So my question to everyone out there in BGP land is "Will Wales finish with the record"?

 

Does anyone have the stats on yards per carry and yards per game for these two players?

If Johnson Central exits the playoffs early, you might see Central make a concerted effort to get Wales the record. Wales definately has a chance.

To answer the question posed in this thread, I think it will be difficult for Wales to surpass Jude in yardage, as it is my understanding Wales is quite a bit behind Jude in yardage at this point.

Ok I am not up to speed on the numbers here, So a few questions are in order.......

 

What is the record they are trying to break??

 

How many Yards does Jude Have?

Not if they lose to Ashland, which is certainly possible. A loss to the Tomcats will give Johnson Central second place, which means a trip to Highlands in round two.

If Wales has two or three more games than Jude, I would think he would pass him in yardage. Another thing would be for Scroggins to give him the football more. According to KHSAA stats - Etown; 12-355-6TDS. Henry County; 11-194-5TD.
