Trinity 49 Male 0

No offense intended RP but there's no excuse for stupid. Not only is it a violation of the rules and dangerous, had a second unsportsmanlike flag been dropped on Trinity because of it Beatty would have been ejected AND suspended for the next 2 games. What has been a very special season could have been badly tarnished because a few players felt they knew better then the rules.

It is my understanding that before each and every game - regardless of level - each and every Head Coach is asked: 'Are all of your players legally and properly equipped according to Federation Rules?"

This puts the HC in the position of "knowing and certifying that ALL of his players are legally and properly equipped before the contest starts. Additonally, it takes any liability off of the Officials and places it squarely on the HC (where it most properly belongs) in the event of an injury.

I agree with "moving on."

But one last point, the T players and staff have been so smart and intelligent about every other facet and phase of this season - I cannot believe they would try and play without the proper - required equipment. Disappointed in that - if true

Moeller is the real deal. ROCKS will need their "A" game for all 4 quarters.

ALL TEll, I had my glasses on the freshman QB run and it was right in front of me, he had the ball on the plylon and hit it. The ref waited a second and then called him out at the one yard line. Male coaches were upset.

What a thrill for the kid to score after a great run, there was a minute to go, but I saw a TD but I don't count. if he was out of bounds great call, but man it was so close and what would it hurt to give the Dawgs a TD? I do get to watch the game film and have it but watching college. I'll get back to you and let you know if the call was right or not.

To answer your question, maybe Male wanted to score and thats what they tried to do.

The QB also had a great run against the Rocks Freshman and we didn't score. That run was a lot longer and would have put us ahead 14-0, if the kicker would make the extra point. Great kid (QB) Two long runs and nothing to show for it.

Just saw the replay and slowed it down, his knee never touched as he held the ball to the plylon. Kid scored, but like Mama just said, "why worry abvout it?". I said, kid scored and didn't get credit. Not worried at all, just curious.

I hated wearing pads but the refs went around during warmups checking everyone. So i went to the pee wee league and got pads from them really small ones.

My son the kicker forgot his pads one day at practice and just kicked with out them in shorts, "dad I realy liked not having those pads in and I wonder if I can do it in a game?" I said "yes, you can wear your shorts too".

I agree that this is rather insignificant but I was told Beatty behaved like a jerk to referees for enforcing the penalty. Maybe he was just upset with his kids. Kids just thinking they are like their NFL heros... I am sure many flirt with the rule.

As I understand it - this is a SAFETY ISSUE- and those have zero tolerance. Same as having a mouthpiece in or having the helmet buckled with 4 points of contact.

I was at the game and saw no sign that he was upset with anyone but the players. I f he said anything to the refs his body language didn't show it.
