Theoldguy Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 It is my understanding that CovCath opponent this week is none other than the famous Bye! I am getting from my sources close to their team, that they have had a hard time this season with injuries and academics problems and have yet to win a game. Now HHS had a hard time beating Bye in the second week of the season and I have seen the game films and Bye looked tough but since then as I stated above the injury bug and academics problem have bite Bye in the butt! Say what you what but I am worried about beating Bye this week, as the Colonels seemed to be a little too confident today in practice, then again CovCath has never lost to Bye in the 41 year history of CovCath football. :sssh: BTW for those in the know at CovCath, Little Ricky was on the sidelines watching the game and he told me to thank all the CovCath players for their thinking about him this week!
tdyballgame Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I'm responding because you started the thread and you are looking for input. WOW!!!
StraightShooter Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Kickoff for the CovCath - Bye game will be at 8:00 Friday night at Wooten Field. Look for a lot of blind side tackles, missed calls, poor ball placements, missed defensive signals, etc. Field position will be huge in this one. A small crowd is expected. This is a tough game to pick but I'll go with Cov. Bye hasn't won a game in years.

spindoc Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 If they had any cahones, they'd have scheduled Open.
Theoldguy Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 If they had any cahones, they'd have scheduled Open. Well they tried to schedule Open but with the new KSHAA district game requirements, neither team had a date they could both be available on, so CovCath scheduled Bye instead. Next year maybe it will happen as the contract with Bye is a year to year contract and not a home and away deal!

In the Highlands game that ball looked like a grocery bag sealed at the end in Seidl's arms.
horst muhlmann Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I'd love to see a game between Bye and Open.
sports fan Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Trinity plays Bye in week 9. Hopefully the fellow Catholics in NKY will soften them up for the Rocks.
ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 The excitement for this week is unbearable.
StraightShooter Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I know that coaches always worry about having their players ready to play. This week, the CovCath coaches worry about their players even showing up. It's a big problem around the state and I don't know what to do about it. If you have any ideas, please send me a PM. One thing for sure: Trinity does not have any better chance of taking down Bye than the rest of us. I don't even see the mighty Rocks scoring against Bye! Good luck to their parochial brothers this week! You are going to need it against Bye!
