Really not much of a game to watch. Just sad that Harrison and Pendleton are on the schedule as they are no match whatsover. Little disppointed to see the 1's come out for the first two series of defense and the first series of offense. It was already 48 to 0 and the clock was running. Just seems like there are still some kids that do not get on the field even in these blowout games. Next week they might want to dress the frosh, but that probably will not happen because they are in the midst of a potential title run.

 

I think the reason Dale did that is beacuse the 1's need work. HHS doesn't play anyone and these kids need to stay sharp. Playing HC and PC in back to back weeks kills your team. Mean while Elder is playing a very tough schedule every week..Their 1's are playing the whole game against very tough teams in the GCL..jmo

I was surprised the first teams came back also. But then I realized that, since there was a running clock at the 5 minute mark of the second quarter, the first teams had to play a little bit of the second half in order to get in two full quarters of play.

Was talking to a buddy of mine last night and we both agreed that PT very well could come in and start for UK next year as a true freshman. He already has the size and physical tools and is smart enough to pick up on the offense quickly.

I don"t think these type of games help a team improve. I'm not getting on Highlands---they have to play who is on their schedule. Perhaps need to tweak the schedule.

Maybe they can work on spreading them out so it's not back to back. Play one the first game of the year, then the other in Week 5-6.

I think it is very good from a playoff readiness standpoint that Highlands finishes the regular season against Elder and Ryle. Also, with HHS having their bye so early in the season, it is good that HHS gets the opportunity to heal up some players. It is my understanding that Highlands did just that last night.

I would think it is time to seriously beef up the non-district schedule. I know everyone says nobody wants to play HHS, but with some travel Trinity was able to schedule a killer schedule for their first 5 games. I am guessing Trinity, Lou St X, and all the GCL schools in Cinti would be more than happy to play Highlands everyyear.

First play from scrimmage for Birds and Towles goes to Collinsworth for an 80 yard strike and score. He had 5 td tosses in the 1st qtr. The problem I see is the Birds have 2 cupcakes in a row the Holmes before they travel to the Pit. Not much of a test to prepare them.

 

I'm starting to agree with this. I would love for more than anything to see the Birds beat them at the Pit, but the preparation based on the next games is not helping. I wouldn't doubt that they start looking ahead to the Panthers over the next couple weeks in practice.

200 yrds and 5 TD's in the first 11 minutes of the game. I was standing under the scoreboard when after he threw his 5th TD and it read 4:11 left in 1st. The game was a FARCE !!! 136 yrds in the 2nd qtr when they started handing the ball off. That is when Seidl starting shredding them.

 

Seidl is so freakin fast, he just outran everyone in the secondary last night. If he puts on 10lbs he will be the 2nd coming of Jordan Kramer.

I don't think Harrison or Pendleton would object to being in the district they came from. KHSAA sure put it to them by moving them north.
