Yep - that was the year that the QB broke his leg in the home opener and the only win that season was I think against Montgomery County. The year after Grutza, Lofton and company graduated.

Remember that season well, wasn't the QB the Sargent kid(he was a player), thought Coach might leave after that season. Glad to see Lewis County doing so well, always have tough kids win or lose there and great loyal fans as well, kind of just the opposite for MC with the stands half empty from the opening game this season.

The two previous seasons I thought the Lions had a good game plan, just not enough talent to pull it off. It worked out in their favor this time.

Great game by the Lions! I thought Mason had a good game plan with the no huddle offense to try to wear down the Lions defense but they were just too good last night. Offensive line played their best game of the year, and the defense was great again. Good luck the rest of the way this could be a special season. Should be setting at 6-0 right now.

The Lions prepared hard to beat a solid Mason County team and executed their gameplan! They believe they can play 48 minutes of competitive football with anyone, and the defense has confidence and swagger. They played a complete game tonight and absolutely dominated the Royals! On the other sideline, Coach B is humble in victory and very gracious in defeat. As always...class act. The Lions were ready, but that tweet by #16 really made the Lions go all out! O Line...that is how you do it! I knew you could!
