Thanks, but I don't really deserve it. Some of us are just good test-takers, and I'll allow for the fact that there was at least a little luck involved. Back in the day when we did "achievement tests," the teachers hated that I would occasionally be so disinterested that I would use the circles to draw funny pictures. Just seemed like a waste of time to me.

 

Let your junior know that a good way to conquer multiple-choice tests is to quickly factor out the answers that are obviously wrong, then go with the remainder that is most plausible.

But the fact remains that if you were to ask the largest news outlets in the state what their most-read stories were on their websites, I'm willing to bet heavily that education stories pale miserably in comparison to sports stories.And frankly, some of those numbers you posted aren't that great. I showed up half-drunk on an hour of sleep for my ACT and posted a 31. Forgive me if I'm not impressed by those numbers. For God's sake, Manual can pick the best and brightest in Louisville and their average is a 24.7? And I'm betting a lot of those kids went through a battery of pre-tests to prepare them.

 

You think that's just in Kentucky, that's our society in general. I can't believe that you actually think that academic news stories would outweight sports stories anywhere in this country.

 

Nobody ever asked you to be impressed, all I was doing was showing that our top academic schools across the state also happen to house some of our states best athletic programs; and that typically, if a school stinks in one area, they probably stink in the other.

Glad they got caught. And it wasn't the FB post that costed the team the wins, it was the fact the parents were breaking the rules.

No way possible that the public school these kids improperly attended would be involved with cheating. With the public schools separated from the private schools in the playoffs, all of the public schools in TN are lilly white. It was just an oversight. Now about that ocean front property in Arizona I have for sale.
