I don't think he's the most deserving at all. It's not like he built up this amazing strategy which has kept him in the game, the true intent of Survivor in my opinion. In fact, he was kinda awful at the strategic side of the game before the merge. The only reason he's around still is because he's good at challenges. If Redemption Island was never brought into Survivor, he would have been removed a long time ago.

 

I'd like to see them get rid of Redemption Island personally, but I know it probably helps bring in the audience. To me it takes away from the "game play", relationship building, and strategy which Survivor was originally, and still is at its core, all about. I definitely do not think he's the most deserving. Was Matt the most deserving last year? No...same thing.

And FWIW it has been "spoiled" that there will be no returning players in the next season of Survivor and that there will be no Redemption Island. I also have a huge spolier that will have a major impact on the way the entire game is played. If anyone wants to hear it let me know. And it really depends on how you look at the game and surviving. Is the key to the game to survive the elements and be able to survive on a desert island? If it is, then sure Ozzy is a winner. Is the game to survive the challenges? Once again Ozzy is the winner.

 

But it my mind its both of those, but most importantly Surviving the interations, relationships, and personalities of the people you're going against. That's what you're truly surviving. Probably my psychology minor coming through with all that, but that is why I enjoy the show.

One could argue that by going to Redemption Island he has outwitted the entire Coach Cult. After the Geek flipped he had no choice. He's able to relax and provide for himself. He doesn't have to play any of the petty politics of being with anyone else and like someone else pointed out he is the last person in the game that interacts directly with the jury. No doubt in my mind that if Ozzy makes the final vote he wins going away.

I would politely disagree. I don't see anyone wanting to hand a million dollars to that maniac.

 

Maniac might be strong. I think he's just young & very immature in some aspects.

 

But I do agree that there's no way he wins if in the final three. May even go without earning a single vote. Why on earth Coach elected to vote him out is beyond me. If I'm Coach, I would have wanted Rick & Brandon in the final three with me.

 

Brandon's move goes down as one of the dumbest in show history.

Coach just lost a jury vote and I believe that whoever goes next will also be an anti-coach vote. His "loyalty" is coming to light.

Ozzy or Sophie is the winner. IMO

I can't stand Sophie. They should have voted her out. Albert messed up.
