Big win for the Rebels, this should propel their confidence. Highlands was well coached and Hoge has a great arm and will be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.

What??? I am stunned by this. Boone barely eeked out a win over Ryle last week? When was the last Baby Bird loss against a NKY team?

 

Last week Boone's offense was sluggish and shot itself in the foot every time they had some momentum. Couple that with the 100 degree temperature and they were poor at best. This week they made some changes, they started the game with a no huddle and had more intensity. Most of the players went both ways and didn't come off the field, they showed great grit in not giving up being down 14 late in the third. They have the chance to be something special in acouple of years.

Moss? Is this the son of Randy Moss?

Boone has a great team. Very physical team. Big and loves to hit. HHS was a bit over matched on size on the field. 51 and Moss played excellent. Like Guru said, score could have been 28-7 Boone. HHS actually had a shot at the end in the endzone to win but couldn"t connect. Lots of missed opportunities for both teams along with some missed play calling. There is no way I give Boone the ball at mid field with 2plus min. left to win. But then again, I'm not making the calls and am glad I don't. Don't want no mafia mad at me. HAHAHAHA!!!!

 

HHS had some big hits and real nice plays too. Just not enough of them. Week off to rest. These boys will need it. They have got to be exhausted, battered, and bruised.

He is not playing qb for the frosh.

 

Too bad. Looks like a big strong kid that I hear can sling it. Seems to fit the current mold of big QBs.

Not with kids going both ways. Way too many boys on that sideline to not rotate and give breathers for a play or two. Also gives those kids confidence when they are mixed in with the "starters". On the frosh level, you might get by with, but not at the next. Big reason they won tonight is because HHS has a ton going both ways too.

 

Would love to see Boone succeed. Question is, will Thompson be there to coach these young men?
