The force is strong.

I took it easy on the old Yoder fot the last year...only added 16K and change to the odometer. I ended up having Toyota to buy it back on a recall for extensive rusting on the frame. They made good and paid me over $11,000 for it!!! Picked up the check today.

 

It really sucked they had these issues, but IMO, Toyota really stepped up with the buy back. I've heard of zero complaints, other than some dealers really pushing to get you to put it down on a new ride.

I agree completely. They're standing 100% behind their product. I replaced my Toyota with a Toyota.

As some of you already know, Baby, my red 1998 VW Golf has gone into semi-retirement since summertime when I found out that trips of longer than 15 minutes or so of the engine running were no longer an option. Nearly died, fittingly enough, in the Chaplin Cemetery. I managed to get her back to town in a few stop-and-start portions where I could let it cool down for a significant period, and now use her in limited duty for jetting around town for work purposes. She's got a fantastic set of stickers on her, and while rusty in spots, still looks OK at a distance. It is creeping toward 219K miles, and can pretty much be used indefinitely for work purposes, so I'm keeping her around.

 

I do have a much sleeker new VW Passat babe that I take on out-of-town trips, and more for around-town than I should. Gas mileage isn't as good, but has a great stereo and power seats, windows, sunroof, etc. It's quite fast and handles almost as good as the Golf. When I first brought it back to Bardstown after buying it, when I pulled out from the office, where the Golf also was, the Passat had left a leaky gas spot on the ground, but has only done it one other time since. My theory is the Golf scared the Passat to where it urinated itself. I now keep them separate.

I do stand corrected on the vans. I am thinking about getting a new ride. This pretty thang right here:

 

 

Today my car rolled to 77,777.7. Pretty cool when I saw that, until I realizes that in just over 13 months I've put 35K on her! :eek: But I must be doing something right. As of when I parked her tonight, I'm getting 39.8mpg!

Driving a 2000 Chevy Silverado with 294,000 on it. Runs like a champ! Oh great, hope I didn't just jinx myself!

 

That's a whole bunch of trips back and forth from Villa Hills to Ft Thomas....LOL!!!

I have a 2000 Chevrolet pickup with 287,000 on it that I plow snow with. Great running truck......

Just caught word from the Ballgame that he currently has 317,000 on his 99 Black Ghost. Again, that's a bunch of trips across the creek to the Highlands.

We are a Industrial Mover and our Salesman are all over the country. The truck that I'm driving was bought in Oct 2011 brand new by the owner and was turned over to me in August of 12 with 58,000 miles on it. Would of had at least 75,000 on it if he would of stayed in it.
