IMO the locals in NKY are happier with the state of their public schools than those folks in Louisville. Therefore, instead of 1 or 2 schools getting a lot of boys looking for an alternative they stay in their district ie the herd stays thin at each school.

Agreed, we have lot's of green pastures in NKY with plenty of healthy stock, Louisville has a giant shamrock that many of their herd tend to prefer. It is what it is. Untily NKY doubles in size, I don't see them having as much talent on their average 6A team as T or X typically do, and when NKY doubles in size; they'll just build more schools.....

If you want to hold up a school that has crazy success without having 1400 boys then hold up the Bluebirds. That's the most remarkable football feat in KY.

Yup, for as much as you hear about the Bluebirds recruiting etc etc, if that were the case to the extent it's alleged then they certainly wouldn't be a 4A school.

That's my point. Due to their location in southern KY they are not getting many outsiders.

Louisville is WAY Catholic. And there are LOTS of kids that are not Catholic that choose to go to T/X/DeSales for the Catholic education because, without throwing stones, it is what it is.
