I disagree with ALL TELL somewhat, and like Mr. Network some what. The guy wanted a different school for his kid, maybe he couldn"t sell his home and move.

Should have done like some people do to get heir kids into Highlands ,just rent an apartment in the city for four years and establish a legal residence that way .

We live in a very punitive society. What is wrong with a civil lawsuit for the value of the education? Sue the guy and make him pay if that is necessary but how do the taxpayers of Oldham County benefit by having him in jail? My opinion of jailing people for stuff like this has changed as I've gotten older.

Since he paid taxes in Jefferson County they could simply transfer the money to Oldham County and call it even.

This is the last line from the article at the start of this thread. And these were almost the exact words that I recently heard from a father on a similar topic. The family lives in NKY, and his boys chose to attend St X in Cincy because of the academics. He said that he explained to his boys that this choice would make them ineligible to compete in athletics, and they were ok with it, although both boys are great swimmers and runners. While the father has heard of NKY residents who use the address of relatives in Ohio to attend St X, and he could have done the same, he did not want to "set a bad example for his children by lying" about his address. His words struck a chord with me and I have immense respect for his actions.
