:lol: PepRock and I were just talking cars the other day (as he was helping me out of a car-related pickle). He was going off about Smart Cars and I was saying I'd love to have one. Frankly, I think my Focus is pretty cute, fun, eco-smart and patriotic. I prefer to think it's very Independent of me.

AMEN. I've never had a car payment before, so this'll be an adjustment. But my car insurance only went up $30 bucks a month, and the payment is well within my means. Since I started driving ~75 miles each way to work, I am looking at it as an investment in my future (I know I'll be able to get to work) and a health benefit (I'm less likely to have a wreck because my car started falling apart around me on I-64).

I have a 2007 Ford Focus. It's proven very reliable... Haven't had it in the shop at all.

 

My biggest complaint: It's a 4-door Sedan... And All of the doors seem to stick sometimes... Sometimes to the point that people think they're locked when they're actually not.

I am so happy for you, and I'll sleep better knowing you're not driving to work in a rolling junkyard. I assume this is what you wanted to tell me about this afternoon. Now I wish I hadn't brushed you off.

Congrat RM, I'm hoping to buy one in the next year or so. My ole Honda has lasted me all the way thru college and I'm sure it could last a few years longer but I'd like something that is a bit more aesthetically pleasing. I'm hoping that once I get the motorcycle paid off in the next few months then I can start doing a little car shopping.
