It's my belief that the BGP powers-that-be have been amazingly tolerant in allowing it to get that far.

I'd love to hear from the players side of this. My son played at Male high and Coach Redmon always had someone come into the locker room and say the Lord's prayer. Until my kid's senior year when he said the prayer, but Coach only wanted the Lord's Prayer. We were glad for least that.

The letter instructs the school district to stop "a flagrant violation of the law." It's referring to a prayer before the football game, given by a local pastor.

 

It's a time honored tradition - that appears to have come to an end.

Essentially what you are saying is that the only prayer over the loudspeaker is acceptable, because a mass prayer by the entire community without any loudspeaker is just not good enough.
