Clyde, the verse really states that when you are in a relationship with your married spouse you actually submit to each other, as we go through our lives with each other we both "submit" in many ways daily, It would take all day to even begin answering your question. You would have to ask my wife your question. maybe if you moved the word submit and replace it with Love, that wouild help, but there you see the word later where a man is suppose to do what with his wife, love her as what?

 

In a huge Church meeting the preacher asked if anyone wife really submitted to their husband, I was the only one to raise my hand, and of course they laughed at me and gave my wife a standing "O". She submits because she loves, I love so I submit. Thats how I feel and thats how I explained myself in the meeting.

He's certainly spoken about his beliefs before. In fact, there was a cover story about Obama and his religious beliefs in Newsweek magazine called "What He Believes" published in July '08.

 

 

Regardless, my statement was referring to the double standards being shown by those who speak out against Obama's critics by saying "what does it matter what religious beliefs Obama has?"...and then turn around and try to call Bachmann a looney because her religious beliefs were the basis for a personal decision she made about her career.

Well, they primarily involve extreme antipathy for members of the LGBT community. The article leads with the quote from Marcus Bachmann that's getting such wide play of late, in which he refers to homosexuals as "'barbarians' who 'need to be educated, need to be disciplined.'" The couple, it is reported, share a "common abhorrence of homosexuality."

 

So, got that? The Bachmanns oppose gay rights, and as the Post relates, "Bachmann & Associates, the Christian counseling center he runs, practiced 'reparative therapy,' a method of converting homosexuals to heterosexuality often called 'praying away the gay.'"

I suppose it depends on your stance on homosexuality. If you agree with the bible that it's sin, then he had hatred for that sin. Substitute adultery or murder in lieu of homosexuality and what would be your opinion of the quote?

Well for the record, there's not a chance that I'll be voting for Michelle Bachmann. I'm just pointing out a good ole double standards in the world of politics.
