After thinking about it this morning, that was most pathetic effort I've ever seen. Miami would gladly have taken the LeBron from the end of 2010's Celtics series last night. They would have gladly took Rookie LeBron, or even SVSM LeBron. Heck they would have gladly taken that stupid puppet LeBron.

Has this dude driven to the basket all series? Maybe he is worn out, I don't know. But, last night was the most pathetic effort I've ever seen from any player in any sport. Deferring to DWade and Bosh because they were on is one thing, but not being aggressive when the best teammate on the floor is Mike Miller is inexcusable.

I have always thought there is something intangibly LeBron is missing, which supports his decision to go to South Beach. I am not faulting him for it, just realizing his strengths and weaknesses. I am not counting him out to have a great game or two to close out the season. Seems everything changed after Wade hit that three pointer and LeBron (in typical fashion), since things were going well, decided to showboat and jab at Wade in front of the Mavs bench. Wade held his shot pose, but you could tell he wanted nothing to do with the extra celebrating going on with LeBron. Whether or not that play brought about a victory for the Mavs I have no idea, but I thought that entire sequence was a microcosm of James' decision to leave Cleveland to join forces with Wade.

You'll get no argument from me. I do think it would rather win easily than to actually have to work an earn a title. Last night was like he was just hoping they would win so he could get his championship.

The 4th quarter this series...

Lebron: 3-12 9 points 7 Rebounds

Dirk: 12-24 44 points 14 Rebounds

For me it wasn't the fact that Lebron had a bad game last night. It was the fact that I couldn't even tell when he was on the court. Literally he disappeared and it wasn't just in the 4th quarter it was the entire game.

I didn't watch the entire game, but that is what stood out to me. I watched the last 9-10 minutes and, no kidding, after 2-3 minutes I honestly had to search the court specifically to see if Lebron was even in the game. I honestly thought he was one the bench until I found him standing on the opposite side of the court on a possession when Miami had the ball. He was a ghost last night.

I expect he'll play much better for the remainder of the series, but he needed to be a little more assertive on offense down the stretch last night.

That is more of what I'm talking about. I always say I can live with a bad game, effort is always way more important to me.

So what is everyone thinking for tonight's game? I am banking on LBJ having a big game and everyone saying, "I told you he is the greatest."

Whether the Mavs win or not, I have gained a lot of respect for Dirk this postseason and during the Finals.

^I'm going with the Mavs by 5.

I think LeBron will have a big game as well, but at the expense of DWade's scoring.

He think he will get 40 tonight.

Whoever wins this game tonight wins the series.

I think a better way of saying it is the Mavs do not win, they will not win this series. Same scenario occurred last season with the Lakers being down 3-2 heading back to L.A.

That is definitely true IMO ... if the Mavs lose, the series is over. But because of what you say above, I think many believe that the Heat will almost surely win even if they lose tonight. I think if the Mavs win tonight, they will have enough momentum and confidence, plus knowledge of how to beat this Heat team, that they wil be able to win one in Miami and take the series.

I'm hoping Dallas can pull it out so things will be interesting going back to Miami. I expect another close game and Lebron to bounce back with a strong performance.
