One QB on the list shorter than 6'1".

Interesting that two of the QB's listed have signed with Washington. I'm guessing that one will play another position. Wonder how many more may end up playing a different position.

Towles ran the fastest 20 yard shuttle out of all the QBs.

I think I posted this same basic comment on another thread on here but i will say it again. Towles may be the most gifted quarterback I've watched in high school. He was very rough around the edges but has all the talent in the world. I still think I've seen better runners at QB and better pure passers at QB but never a better combination of physical skills in one kid. He can go as high as his work ethic takes him. From what I hear work ethic is something else he has in abundance. Good luck to him in all he does, except if he plays JC again. Then I hope he can't hit the broad side of a barn that day. LOL...

He was describing Towles from last season. This year he is 100x's better in the middle 3rd and it has completely opened up Highlands' offense.

Gunner Kiel update: He originally committed to IU but then changed his mind. He will announce on Jan 7th where he will attend and will most likely enroll in January.

Out of curiosity, for those of you guys that follow high school stars to college, how many of these kids who leave high school in January actually succeed and become a star player for their college team? I understand the need to want to get to your college early if it truly helps you in the long run actually play on Saturdays that then leads to playing on Sundays. It sounds like it has become more of the norm for some big players these days. Does anyone have any numbers or stats on the success of leaving high school early? It is a lot to give up missing the last part of your senior year. Some things you just never get back, but if it ultimately leads to a big time contract in the NFL, I guess it is worth the tradeoff. Just curious.

I think the argument is centered around being ready to play your frosh year vs it making you better over the career. It gets you in spring practice so coaches can see you instead of having them wait until August.

Matt Barkley did at USC.

Intetesting to hear that Auburn visited Jameison Winston last night.

Kiel went to LSU for a visit this weekend.

 

He and his family returned today to LSU for another visit.

Rivals released their newest rankings for this year's senior class. Ranked the top 250.

 

Zeke was 145. Only KY player in the top 250.

I have lost all faith in ratings.
