In an email response to The Washington Times, Mr. Thornton threatened to kill himself if his Social Security payments are taken away, and said the television episode showing him doing woodwork oversold his abilities.

“You wanna test how serious I am about leaving this world, screw with my check that pays for this apartment and food. Try it. See how serious I am. I don’t care,” the California man said. “I have no problem killing myself. Take away the last thing keeping me here, and see what happens. Next time you see me on the news, it will be me in a body bag.”

 

They should mail him a letter stating he has been cut off along with a gun and 1 bullet.

Saw this story this morning and was going to post it in this thread but had to go to my daughters kindergarden classes last day awards stuff. How do the feds not catch these things?

This is among the most pathetic things I've ever heard.

Obviously he is on SS because he is mentally challenged , which he is !! What a nut case . He should be spanked !! Wait he might like that .

If he was a lion his mother would have eaten him as a cub. The gene pool was peed in and needs to be shocked.

So, let me get this straight. I am paying roughly 6% of my paycheck to a system that I'm never going to get any money from. This was done to take care of our older/ederly citizens who had put in a lifetime of work. Now, it is being used to pay a guy that is competent enough to build a suped up baby crib, illegal immigrants who don't contribute to the system, and countless others who are exploiting incompetent federal administrative bodies. Love it.

It's easy to say that, but if you were essentially given free food or money and you had made the proper attempts to stop receiving it and they gave it to you anyways, I'd imagine most would have a hard time not using them.
