Playstation Network

This incident will lead to Sony charging for online play. They will justify it by saying they need the added revenue to pay for the additional security to prevent this from happening again.

I wish they would charge. If so, I'd imagine PS3 would run 360 in to the ground. If PS3 wouldn't lag online, which it does because it's free and crappy, I'd never play my 360.

I've never had a lag online. In 2 years.

My PS3 has lagged for a week now!

Have you played The Show? It's awful online.

I don't get the "I wish they would charge" thing. It works fine. I have no problems with it...why do you want to pay money for something that works fine?

Yes. I've not noticed any lagging.

I've got MLB 11 The Show and have only ever played one game online against someone else. The other person would throw a pitch and I had the location and type of pitch guessed correctly so I decided I was gonna swing. Guy starts the motion, I see the ball, start to swing, then no movement from any of the characters with a ball froze in the middle of its flight and I've missed the pitch. I'm not saying I would have hit the ball or that I'm a great player, but when it freezes or lags like that on every pitch, it is kinda hard to do anything in any game.

Playstation Network will be back on May 2nd according to their website.

Why are you playing that? Get You Don't Know Jack, it is a much better game.

While I am super glad that we PSN users will be getting some free stuff once the network comes back online, it continues to get a tad frustrating when they keep on pushing the restart date back especially when you have to read about it from third, fourth and fifth party sources. I totally understand that issues come up when undertaking such a project, but I think the Sony folks should post it on their Web site if there is going to be a continued delay. I would rather hear it from them than having to fish through articles to find answers.

I agree wholeheartedly.

The last update I saw said it would be up sometime this week. I haven't seen a specific day quoted anywhere.

It's great they're offering up some free stuff, but at this point, I'd be happy with just being able to play.

You guys are probably dying.

I've gotten past the twitching.

After watching a few of the video's on the new maps, I'm ready to get back to it.
