These were the promises he made. In other words, he made claim that he could get them to pass them.

Yep. Like I said. Congress has the power of this nation and I don't understand why people feel like the President can get anything done and follow through on promises made.

No, but I didn't vote for Clinton either and he sure found a way to work with Congress and get things done. Whether anyone on here did or didn't vote for him isn't the point or the problem. When our presidents fail, we fail.

I am just trying to figure out why you are after him so bad for failed promises or failed change when you didn't even vote for him. Seems to me the only people who have a legitimate beef with Obama are people who voted for him and are disappointed with the results. Your anger is misplaced. You should be mad at the people not good enough to beat him and show they could do better. You obviously knew this would happen which is why you didn't vote for him, correct?

What? Seriously I'm not sure what you're getting at. I can deal with my candidate losing. I have a harder time with my president doing a lousy job, and currently, that's what's happening. No misplaced anger at all, in fact, no anger at all. Just sadness.

That's a matter of opinion not fact. In your eyes he is doing lousy. In millions of other eyes he is doing fine and has done what he said he wanted to do. Who's right or wrong is irrelevant. I tend to take people's opinions more to heart when they say, "I voted for Obama and I am disappointed." I can learn from those people. People who didn't vote for him make it hard for me to take in their point because they came in with a slanted view from the beginning. And for the record everybody is different. I have never met a Republican or an opponent of a candidate I favor who could change my mind but I definitely listen and learn more from those who voted for the same person I voted for but is disappointed in that person. People who didn't vote for the person they are slamming are hard to listen to and learn from because they were already slamming that person from day one and that person would have to perform miracles to convince these people they were right for the job anyways.
