The Reds just finished off their Cactus League season with a 8-3 win over the Indians. Arroyo pitched 6 1/3 innings of 6 hit, 2 run baseball striking out 3. The Reds finished 17-14 in the Cactus League. It all starts for real on Thursday afternoon. Let's great ready for another fun season of Reds baseball.

I'm going to have to shift my attention from the Cats to the Reds pretty quickly. Not exactly used to the immediate transition.

I am more than ready!!! You better get us off to a good start LRCW.

The Covington Catholic chamber choir is singing the National Anthem on Thursday.

This coincides with Senior Skip Day which has an interesting history. In 2004 the seniors "skipped" and many went to the Reds game that afternoon. They were pictured on the front page of the Enquirer. CCH decided to make Skip Day an annual Reds game so Skip Day is now sanctioned. I think they even give them breakfast at school that day.

Hey, I predicted the Reds would make the playoffs before the season began last year, and I started the Reds thread at the beginning of the year last year. Never fear.

So you're saying your son, and grandsons?

Can't wait! Should be even better since the cash league I joined this year is hosted on the CBS site, and as part of our fees we get a free subscription to GameDay audio, helping me overcome a major black hole in this area in terms of Reds On Radio coverage.

I hope you're not wanting to be able to watch the game, and listen to Marty at the same time with that services. The radio feed is usually a few seconds behind on the GameDay audio based on my experiences in the past.

They even got some attention on ESPN.

Learned that lesson years ago. Haven't been able to pull that trick for a long time on the regular radio feed compared to FoxOH.

As much as anything, it's for those nights I can't be nearby the TV to be dazzled by the crappy left-hander.

I saw a billboard the other day for a new sports station that advertises itself as "Radio Home of the Cincinnati Reds". ESPN 680 AM

Good thing to. 680 AM seems to be much better than whatever station it was aired on last year.

Just wondering, if you were to record the game on your DVR, then turn around and start watching it just a few seconds later, could you get them closer in sync? Haven't tried this before...just thinking.
