I believe that Dixie Heights and Daviess Co. are Tier 4. Rowan and Wayne down to 5. Bell down to 6.

In December, Oldham was missing several players.

 

Speaking specifically of Oldham County, based simply on the overall body of work of all the teams in the tourney, the Colonels probably should be "ranked" in the lower half. I would have them somewhere around 10-12 of the 16 teams. But I agree with several on this thread that Oldham is much better than many are giving them credit for. They had the chance to beat Bullitt East in the final seconds, and wound up losing by 4. They have pretty much been competitive with everyone they've played; the 20 point loss to Trinity in the first week of the season came with two starters out and the backup center out. Two other losses came with the starting point guard out with an injury and so many players sick with the flu that the team did not practice the entire week. One starter left one of those games sick during the game.

 

Oldham's problem is that they have to overcome herculean odds, playing the unquestionably top two teams in the first two rounds (assuming they could upset GRC and assuming Eastern wins their first round game as expected.). But hey, you have to play 'em sometime (the top dogs) if you want to be the top dog, right? It just gives Oldham coach Jason Holland locker room material - want respect? Earn it.

 

Pegasus Sports will be at the Sweet 16 as long as Oldham is there, as their designated broadcaster...http://www.pegasussportsky.com

1 - Eastern

2 - GRC

3 - Warren Central

4 - Bullitt East

 

I think the rest may be more competitive across the board than many think.... I really admire the season WC has had, and Bullitt East impressed the dickens out of me on several fronts... they can match up athletically with anyone...
