March 3, 201115 yr The rumors involve Oregon. I buy it w/ how involved Phil Knight is and how quickly they've risen to prominence. I hope not though, I like their playing style.
March 3, 201115 yr When a man named Chip leads you to a national championship game appearance, your program likely has some shady things going on behind the scenes.
March 3, 201115 yr Duck player who decommitted from USC tweeted that he was interviewed by the NCAA. http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/ncaa-had-meeting-with-prized-oregon-recruit-29538
March 3, 201115 yr This situation may be regarding Oregon, but what about Auburn. Cam Newton's father was brokering a deal involving in the neighborhood of $175,000 for his son to go to Mississippi State. He didn't go to State, but he chose Auburn. What did Auburn pay?

Apparently his father wasn't supposed to be at the BCS championship game, but wasn't Cam hugging his father at the end of the game? With all the talk about money/father, i see the one and done at AU - NFL =Violations???
March 4, 201115 yr Remember that with Auburn it is the SEC we're talking about. Cheating is rampant in the SEC. The same type of stuff Oregon is going down for LSU has supposedly (and more notoriously) been doing for years. Patrick (Johnson) Petersen comes to mind.
March 4, 201115 yr You can find alot of the stuff about street agents in college football if you look hard enough, that's why I figured it was Oregon. LSU should go down just as hard IMO, given the stuff that is out there (Tolliver and Petersen among a boat-load of others). Others I've often seen strong rumors about with street agents are Tennessee, Auburn (The Reed kid and his HS teammate), Alabama (specifically w/ Richardson), USC, among a bunch of others. Said going rate accoding to a few sites, $12,000 for a commitment, $36,000 for a signature. I would bet just about every team plays this game though. Will Lyles is suppose to be one of the two guys in question regarding Oregon. Man I love the internet.
March 4, 201115 yr While you can't take it as fact, this certainly is interesting: http://recruitocosm.fantake.com/2010/12/10/street-agents-in-texas-some-new-competition-for-will-lyles/
March 4, 201115 yr CCC, Bama has been in so much junk there is no way they would go to any kid and do anything thats not right. We don't need to cheat now days. Would we risk the "death penalty"? Don't think so. Would Coach Saban (walking water coach) hurt his legacy?
March 4, 201115 yr Oh come on AL, every program, specifically in the SEC, cheats. That includes you're do no wrong, perfect Crimson Tide. I promise you, if the NCAA looked hard enough they could bust Saban and Bama. Just as they could bust Auburn, just as they could LSU, UF, UT, etc., etc.

March 4, 201115 yr And Kentucky, too? Absolutely, I guess you missed the part where I said "every program". I was simply naming the elite programs in the conference. I know what you're trying to do, and you're swinging and missing as usual. I'm not a UK football fan in the least.

March 4, 201115 yr Didn't swing and miss at anything ... just clarifying your point. How is clarification needed when I say "every program"? Seems pretty darn clear and to the point...
