^^The above is true but as mentioned at the 9th Region draw the KHSAA might step in and move the girls final to Saturday as it would give the KHSAA more time to get the program ect. ready for next weeks Girls Sweet Sixteen! They (the Ninth Region) won't find out until Monday!

The schedule as shown in the Enquirer is now on the KHSAA website. I'd assume that makes it official.

I would say at this point Boone Co. is the heavy favorite.

The numbers don't really mean anything but for someone who is trying to get a feel for the teams, this may help.

Boone and Ryle both depend on the great outside shooting to open up the inside. BOK is tuff for shooters who are not accustomed to the arena feel. If their shooters can drill the shots then I agree Boone and Ryle are the likely finalists, but this is the Regional tournament and the pressure will be intense for players to step out there and make the plays. Expect the unexpected in this years Regional. In past years great offensive teams only score in the 30's at the BOK.

 

I like the methodical NCC game plan, and the athleticism of an NDA which can make anything possible this week. Hang on to your tickets the ride is about to begin!

I agree with your post. The odds are in favor of a BC/Ryle rematch, but I'll stick with my gut that it won't happen as I posted last week. Both of the top teams have shown they can have a letdown on any given night and can lose to an inferior opponent. Boone has a better chance of getting to the finals, but in a "one-n-done" there's no room for an off-night or foul trouble for any key players.

It will give them a good feel for the size of the floor, however, there's no local gym that can help adjust to the backdrop of BOK. I would be willing to bet NDA has a place to practice that comes close to BOK's backdrop...right paNDA?
