Horrible decision making processes are not going to change in 10 years. What's done is done. Bush's decision making and management style bankrupt a private business, ran up billions in debt as governor of Texas and has this country on the road to bankruptcy as well. One hundred years of separation are not going to change those facts. The guy was a horrible, horrible president.

Nothing has changed about Obama but his looks... He is still the same Saul Alinsky inspired socialist that he was when he was elected... Obama has already quadrupled the deficit of the Bush era... I guess those on the left don't care as long as their man is doing the spending... Plus he has borrowed 42 cents of every dollar he has spent...

Zero substance to back up that assertion. No one can make any sort of judgment on a President's term until at least 10 years have passed, ususally longer. To do so shows zero political credibility IMO.

In doing so, haven't you tacitly implied that you've judged him as one of the best in post #3, and then reaffirmed in post #10 by exempting him of any responsibility by placing the blame on his predecessor? If so, then logically, you'd exempt Obama from blame of his handling of the situation as well, by throwing the blame back to Clinton?

I said that he had more major situations to deal with than other presidents did. I never commented on the type of job he did with those situations. Two completely different things. Nice try though.

I have not made any type of judgement on his presidency. Policies that were put in place before Bush took over caused the collapse. Again, I never made any judgements as to whether Bush handled it either in a positive or negative manner.

And if it was his predecessor's error, he couldn't correct that in 7 years in office? With his party also in control of Congress for much of his presidency? No way he gets to skate off of that issue.

 

He did try and stop it. He tried to pass legislation to help the situation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. GW isn't getting a pass. Barney Frank is never even mentioned when people talk about the housing market crashing. You sure you got the right people when you are talking about people who get a pass?

Just for giggles I thought I would mention that I heard a clip of Obama the primary candidate vs. Hillary saying that he would not support an individual mandate forcing people to buy insurance. Just saying.

Concerning the topic of this thread, there is little doubt that Obama's words, tone and agenda changed after the last election. Getting your butt kicked will do that.

I could not imaging the stresses which would come along with being the President. They all endure stresses and tough decisions, each one effecting both positively and negatively the entire world. I have no idea why anyone would want to do it.
