The presidency really does that to people. Dubya seems to have aged more so than any president I can remember. But he probably had the toughest decisions to face of any of the recent POTUS.

And that's one point that I think people fail to realize with GWB. Whether or not you agreed with his handling of situations, no President was faced with as many major disasterous events/situations as he was.

Lincoln and FDR had just as tough situations to deal with as GWB .

This is highly overlooked. And as I've said MANY times in here, history will shine very favorably on GWB's presidency.

I do not consider that something he had no control over. That happened in the 7th year of his presidency so he has to own that one.

And if it was his predecessor's error, he couldn't correct that in 7 years in office? With his party also in control of Congress for much of his presidency? No way he gets to skate off of that issue.

Just like with anything in economics that kind of thing takes years to get moving and years to correct.

Zero substance to back up that assertion. No one can make any sort of judgment on a President's term until at least 10 years have passed, ususally longer. To do so shows zero political credibility IMO.

Horrible decision making processes are not going to change in 10 years. What's done is done. Bush's decision making and management style bankrupt a private business, ran up billions in debt as governor of Texas and has this country on the road to bankruptcy as well. One hundred years of separation are not going to change those facts. The guy was a horrible, horrible president.
