Do you have news, or not?

Supposedly, final announcement on game site(s) to be today. According to WC faithful, WKU will not be the site of X vs. WC.

I just spoke to both Western Kentucky University and Warren Central at about 10:50 a.m. Louisville time and received mixed signals. Western informed me that the game would not be played at their campus. Warren Central informed me that the final decision had not been made and advised me to call back tomorrow.

I got a call from one of my kitty cat friends  that says Warren Central.

I played there my Junior year and it is not capable of a games this size. The visitors bleachers are tiny and no restrooms hardly. What a joke the KHSAA has to have regional sites for the finals that are at colleges. They need to be neutral.

Yeah, well you thought X-Manual was going to be at Butler...:p

Central doesn't have the best facilities but that's the way things go. Funny thing, the administration concentrates their money in other areas rather than renovation of the facilities..... I have mixed feelings about neutral sites because really, where are teams like this going to play that's neutral? Is WKU really neutral if Warren Central (or in some parallel universe Greenwood) is playing? Where are you going to go, Murray? What would be the sense in that? To me when a lot of Louisville people view neutral, it means in Louisville. The championship game is neutral, but quite frankly, is it neutral when/if an out of Louisville team has to come up there to face one? But I didn't see the X posters complaining last year about a neutral site when Scott County had to travel an hour or so to face you.

The current system is the only one that is going to work 90% of the time because there are complications and distance logistics that will play a part every time. In a hypothetical world, if WKU and Murray were hosting playoff games this Saturday and neither wanted to have teams on their field the previous night, where would your neutral site be?

I am not talking about Neutral in location but a stadium that is not owned by either school. I owuld play WC in Alaska if there are decent enough facilities to play with. A field with grass is the first. I would guess that WC had 5 home games in the season and this will be the 4th of the playoffs. How is the shape of the field. It was horrible when I played on it but I know that was many moons ago ('89). Where does WC spend their money, is it in the academic areas? I do not get what you are trying to say. Since WKU has field turf I doubt it would matter and the school will eat up the concession monies no doubt.

To settle this question....I took it upon myself to call the AD @ Warren Central. I said...Mr. Wilson my friends on BGP want to know where the game is being played. He said....Mr. Danza the game will be played @ Warren Central.

Thank you, Mr. Danza, for clearifying this situation. Had you already tried to find out from AD the AD? :thumb:
