I'm holding my breath until 9:00 a.m. central when 4 star (rivals and scout) Nick Brassel picks between Ole Miss and Bama. Things looking good for us, but Ole Miss Scout site is reporting Nick Saban is on the phone with Brassel right now going for one last push, and Satan I mean Saban always worries me.

Not really. The kid was thought to want to play his college ball close to home. If UK ever wants to amount to anything other than a bottom feeder in football they have to be able to keep the big names from in-state, at home.

 

How can you say that? It sounds like someone had no idea what they were talking about if they thought he "wants to play his college ball close to home" and decided to go 2,000+ miles away from home.

 

If he went to UC or UT, okay. But LA???

I've never really followed college football recruiting before, but a question I have:

 

Why is it okay in football for these schools to recruit after commitments and try to get players to flip, etc., but it's looked down upon in basketball? And why do players seem to change their minds so quickly so often in football?

I think it shines more favorably upon UK that he chose USC over say Louisville, Cincy, or Tennessee.

I heard that he will be going to OSU and will be suspended the first two games of the 2014 season.

Not a big class for my team, but there weren't alot of ships this year. The Grimble kid was a nice surprise today, now if Miami can just pull Jacoby Brissett I will be very pleased.
