I knew there would be some shifting of the rankings with the wins and losses of some of the top teams this past week.

Seems like a no-brainer that Central's Friday opponent will be more difficult, but do you think the previous night's games will have any effect on the game?

 

FWIW, I wouldn't take Central on the road at GRC if they had several days rest.

How can Ballard be behind Lex Cath when they beat them at Lex Cath.....amazing!

No way Ballard isn't top 3. They have one bad night and drop to #6 behind a team they've already beaten. Amazing...

So Eastern beats JTown without 3 of their major contributors by 7 points and they jump JTown. This is why I hate computer rankings they don't factor that sort of thing in to the calculation. Also, agree about Ballard no way they are behind Lexington Catholic, also Henry Clay beat Lexington Catholic recently. I have to say BGP rankings are the most accurate ones I see year in and year out.

No way that Eastern is #1. They only beat Jtown by 8 and Jtown is missing three starters. Warren Central has no business at #3 and Trinity (10-5????)definitely doesn't deserve to be #7. My top 5 would be....

 

Jtown

Eastern

Clark County

Ballard

Scott County (Only two losses are to Ballard and Clark County)

This will be a big week for Warren Central; playing #16 Glasgow on Tuesday (weather permitting), a tough Bowling Green Team #13 on Friday, then traveling to #3 GRC. GRC will be playing Harrison, the always HUGE rivaly game at Montgomery Co, then WC. I think both teams will be tired from the previous nights game, but I look for both of them to be ready to play.

I agree with you on BGP is the more reliable rankings. Look forward to the new rankings coming out this week.( Usually on Wed.)

All rankings have some flaws. Eastern #1 over Jtown - considering the situation Jtown was in, and the previous meeting when both were at full strength - makes no sense to me, either. And the BGP ratings have been pretty credible, IMO...but then again, this week's BGP poll has Simon Kenton #20...and while I like SK's team, I think the Pioneers have done / shown nothing to merit a top 20 spot...?
