The only shot they have is if their LB's(very fast and strong) can contain the X backs. But that is a tough thing to do.

Unfortunately, Central lost one of their LBs in the Graves Co. game

Find a suitable replacement soon and get him ready to take on some BIG linemen before getting to tackle a good back or two. The men in the box will get tested. If Mattingly has the ball, they best attack the line and make good tackles, if it is Anderson then they better not overpursue and they better make solid tackles. Good Luck ! Oh yeah, don't forget about Curley !

Geez ! :madman:

Number one thing about Anderson is that you have to WRAP UP. Or he is gone like you never touched him.

I think the Dragons will play St. X real tough, and the Tigers doen't travel real well but I would guess that is being addressed this week. Still I foresee a Trinity St. X title game again this year.

Did you go to the WC/Manual game.

Did you go to the WC/Manual game.

No, I was at another game in town that week.

The Dragons are a big Mystery which is a little scary. No Dewalt to hang on.

I don't know much about WC but I do know that The St.X Tigers are going to be hard to stop now.The defense is playing great (held JH to 47 yards rushing after they put 329 on Male) and the offense is healthy and rolling. A focused, hungry bunch of Tigers will roll out of Bowling Green with a win and will head to PJCS for a third straight year. Make it X-28 WC-17

Another suitible test for the Tigers. The Dragons will give X all they want and will be tough to defend. Even if X gets up on them early, WC has shown that is doesn't roll over and die.

I see this one going back and forth, much like the T - HC being played 115 miles north. Like all games, the key for X will be their line play on both sides of the ball. If they establish the run, which will set up the pass, the Tigers should win by at least double digits. Defensively the Tigers need to force 3 and outs early and often and kill the undying spirit of WC. If X allow the Dragons to stay in the game it'll be a toss up. Turnovers and penalties must be reduced to ZERO.

In the end X wins and cheers of St. X High will be heard throughout central KY.

This should be another fantastic game. I'm so happy that Coach Glaser scheduled away games early against Bowling Green and Lexington Catholic to help prepare the Tigers for the rough road ahead of them. For whatever reason, we just do not perform well when we journey into WKY.

Although Warren Central does not have a 6-7 receiver to defend against this year, overall the Dragons are probably a better team than they were in 2003. They returned nine starters on offense and seven starters on defense from last season. In RB Quinton Curry, they have one of the best in the state, plus behind QB Blake Ayres the Dragons have amassed over 2200 yards via the pass. The OL has everyone back from last year and can confront the Tigers with good size.

Defensively Warren Central will play a 4-3 and have a very solid rush defense which will challenge the ST. X. vaunted OL and running backs, Vic Anderson and Mike Mattingly. If the Dragons have a weakness, it is in the secondary where they have been burned a lot by the pass. Unfortunately, the St. X. passing attack has been less than stellar this year, so I don't believe that the Tigers can take much advantage of this chink in the Dragon armour.

In the past two games the Tigers have performed very poorly in special teams, having two muffed punt returns, one blocked punt, a blocked field goal, and two blocked extra points. This is normally one of the strongest facets of the X attack. Hopefully, the Tiger coaching staff can identify the problem areas and get them back on track before facing Warren Central, or it could spell BIG TROUBLE!

Since I have a sister who now teaches for Warren Central (although her son graduated from St. X.), I have a SPECIAL interest in this game. I need to think a little longer before making any predictions, although I don't believe that there will be more than a 14-point spread either way.

Are you insinuating that my predictions are not fundamentally scientific, but emotional and biased? :jump:

They have not kicked off yet and they are arguing amongst themselves. Looks like trouble in the Tiger camp.
