Jeffersontown 69 Eastern 61

Featured Replies

Final from the King of the Bluegrass championship game.

These two teams should be quite familiar with one another come March. They face off again on 1/7 then likely in the district 28 finals and possibly the 7th region title tilt.

I was in attendance. Very hard fought game.

Eastern tried to full court press J-Town all during the first half. It did not work and the Chargers built a big lead of 13 points.

Late in the second half the Eagles went to a half court trapping defense that gave J-Town problems. Eastern cut the lead to 3 but could not get over the hump.

J-town shot the ball well. Eastern did not.

Between these two teams, what ae there----4 or 5 D-1 commits? Must have been a lot of talent on the floor.

Try 6 if I'm not mistaken and throw in JTown jr Desmond Dorsey and you have a college type game.

I thought J-Town completely out executed Eastern. Eastern doesn't run anything on offense. They spread the ball and drive. Took bad shots all night. Price went out of the game early in 1st qt. with two fouls and Eastern never put anybody in the post. Morrow told Ross his other big kid to stay in the paint and let Woods shoot. Woods shot Eastern out of it in the first half. You can also debate the two fouls and sit rule. Easterns Abel picked up two fouls and Couch sat him and Jtown built a lead. Eastern is not the same without Abel on the floor. Still trying to figure out why Woods and Gaines dont go down low and post especially when price went out. Eastern would have been hard to handle with Price out if they would have run some high low with Woods and Gaines. Gaines is being wasted out on the floor. This series will be interesting to follow.

It wouldn't have been interesting had the transfers not shown up! I will leave it at that.

Sounds like this was a great game and glad I predicted this as the KOB final and J'town to win.

Price, Kimbo, and Dorsey are one heck of a trio. J'town proves why they deserve to be the #1 team in the state. They're my favorite to cut down the nets not only at Bellarmine, but also Rupp.

Hey, Walter, I chose pre-season for Clark to cut down the nets, but I can't argue with your pick. Probably should have gone with Clark over Jeffersontown in the final instead of Johnson Central in the finals...definitely a shot in the dark...ugh!!

Dont disagree, but until JCPS and the KHSAA step up change things it will continue to happen in Louisville and the state. The 7th region is out of control with transferring and the Big "R" word.

Will take a heck of an effort to beat J-Town especially of their guards that no body talks about continues to knock down threes. To many weapons.

Out of control doesn't even begin to describe it. A select few seem to be able to do anything they want and everyone turns a blind eye to it.
