A game like this can really humble a team, White Station must be a pretty good outfit.

I predicted White Station to win by 15..and that was being nice.

 

They are a tough team every year and this year is no exception with the early showings against Melrose and Findlay Prep.

 

The good thing for GRC is nobody in the state is close to as good as White Station.

Just got home from the game. Clark seemed very tired and had no more than 20 fans in the crowd. They seemed to be emotionally and physicially drained from the Friday night game with Montgomery Co. They had to ride a school bus to Bowling Green which is a 3 hr drive. They were supposed to start the game at 8 oclock and Clark had already taken the floor to warm up at 7:30 before the Memphis team had even arrived at the gym. The starting time was delayed about 20-30 minutes. That was a real bummer. Clark played tired and shots just wouldn't fall shooting about 30%. The Memphis team was big, quick and fresh and had one of the best boys I've seen in years in Hollins.. Rough night for the Cards. I'm not making excuses but the situation wasn't the best.

Yes, I know you were. I was wanting to keep it in that area too. As I stated before we have a brutal schedule, also Beachball Classic coming up with facing nationally ranked team in our first game.

Considering White Station's performances early on, I'd say they're a legit top 10 team in the country.

 

Clark Co is probably somewhere in the 35-50 range. Big gap there, which is why this score doesn't surprise me.

 

As stated before, I doubt the Cards run in to another team as good as White Station the rest of the year. And yes that includes the schedule at the BBC and top teams in this state.

This is good experience for teams that go on to play in the state tournament. If you get unlucky and draw Thursday night you might get to play 4 games in 48 hrs.

I dont buy the excuses even if you feel they are warranted. GRC is one of the deepest teams in the state and like EZ Livin said, they will possibly get a chance to play 3 very tough games in 2 days at the State Tourney. They were just beat by a superior team.

I caught parts of the game on the radio last night, and it sounded White Station was just better (From shooting to rebounding).
