Bellevue 86 Dayton 64

Featured Replies

Bellevue totally dominates Dayton from the opening tip. Up by more than 30, they fall back into 2-3 zone for the 4th quarter. Dayton leaves their starters in and continues to press. Dayton does not call the score in to the paper.

Zach Norman scores 21 points and adds 10 rebounds, 2 blocks.

Branden Hoffmann scores 15, adds 5 rebounds & 5 assists.

Bellevue is 3-0 on the young season.

Congrats to the Tigers on a good start to the season!!

Good win by Bellevue. They did pretty much dominate, but Bellvue didn't take all of their starters out until late, whereas all of Dayton's starters were fouled out by the 4 min mark in the 4th so that is a little misleading. They also didn't drop into that zone until very late into the 4th quarter. The game was played even in the 2nd half after Bellevue lead 52-26 at half time.

How about talking about the good things that Bellevue did last night? That is the real story, not any of this other nonsense.

Good all around team effort by the Tigers, hopefully Dayton will be much improved the next time these teams meet.

Who does Bellevue start? Hoffman, Norman, Slater, ?, ?

Dayton looked very rough.

After Dilts beat Bellevue so bad last year, I am really suprised that Menefee called off the dogs at all in this one.

Dilts left his starters in & pressed through 4th qtr. last year after Menefee had subbed out entire roster.

This year when the same oppurtunity is there for Menefee, he takes the high road.

Good for him and Bellevue for a great, classy payback.

Not too misleading. Bellevue had 10 players dress. One sub was fouled out. Most of the fourth quarter one starter was rotated with the four remaining subs.

And when there has been the general consensus that the score was run up last year, it is not nonsense to note that the "favor" of running up the score was not returned.

Hoffman, Fogelman brothers, Slater & Ackerson. Norman comes off the bench. Still trying to understand that philosophy

It is non-sense. Last year was last year, I'm not going to go backwards. There were events surrounding that particular game that made things a little more heated then they should have been and that is also a "general consensus." If you want to re-hash that whole argument find the thread, if not move on like the rest of us...

Read the whole sentence before commenting also...it was definitely misleading to say Dayton kept their starters in and kept pressing, unless of course you were talking about last year again

I find it pretty sad that you (as an obvious Bellevue supporter) can't find anything good to talk about from the game, but instead choose to throw little jabs at the Greendevils. I guess that's class....

I'll say it again, the boys for Bellevue played hard and together. They did a lot of good things that deserve talking about much more than 1 game from the past...

What does Bellevue do well? I am very curious. I know Menefee is a very demanding coach and likes to press, does Bellevue have the personell for this?

It's called coaching with class! Something that through my experiences Coach Dilts seriously lacks.

You know I find Tom Dilts to be a pretty good guy. Now I have not coached against him but I have always found him to be pleasant and good to deal with on his Saturday league. What precipitated thsi issue last year that caused people to think he was running up a score?
