Russellville 115 Fort Campbell 25

Featured Replies

Crazy!!!! I think I would play the cheerleaders before a beat a team like that..just my opinion.

90 points??? Was it honestly nessecary to roll up that much on a team when a 50 point win will do?

Russellville coach should be ashamed of himself.

What goes around, comes around.

Wow! I'd love to hear the details....When was the press pulled off? How long did the starters play?

I agree. It's not like you get to 115 by just running your sets and executing plays. You have to want to win by that much. Can you be really proud when you get on the bus? I understand the arguments that you have to be able to stop them and there will always be lopsided victories but 90 points seems a little excessive. Does anyone know the details?

They had 30 steals and 30 assists. One player had 26, five others had 13, and another had 11 to have seven in double figures. They shot 64 percent from the field. That's all from the short snippet in the Daily News today.

No one wants to see a score like that, but you may see that from Fort Campbell this year. They're just awful. They lost by 62 the night before.

Is this part of the same dropoff Ft. Campbell saw in football this year? It stands to reason that in a school that size many of the same kids will play both sports. Where did all the talent go? Has there been some shuffling at the base in terms of deployments and realignment?

This score came one night after Henderson County, up 25+ at halftime, kept the starters in the third quarter and outscored them 33-0. They were nice enough to pull the starters in the fourth quarter.

Fort Campbell isn't very good. Tre Powell was their leading scorer last year but isn't playing this year. Fort Campbell has never been too good in basketball, making four trips to the region tournament in 30+ years. Of course, they are fortunate to be in the same district as Christian County, Hopkinsville, and UHA.

John Cunningham is the coach and I think he is perfect for the job. He just hasn't been dealt a good hand right now. I've seen them play and they aren't very good, but there is no way Russellville is 90 points better unless the Panthers didn't lift off the gas pedal the entire game.

I was looking on Riherds the other night and saw that score. That's a large margin to win by. Hope that Russellville was playing bench and they were just shooting well.

You call time out and tell your team if you steal the ball not to fast break. You bring the ball up slowly and set up plays. You tell your team to go through their sets. And on each set every player should touch the ball two or more times before shooting. It will keep the score down and help your team runnung the sets in a game siuation.
