November 26, 201015 yr Man, not sure what Auburn was doing there...Seems like they weren't made aware of what everyone in this thread was, that the game is over already...:idunno: In my defense, I said I expected it to be a 10 point game going to the 4th.
November 26, 201015 yr You most certainly can, and should hold that against them......When you don't even have to prepare for 80% of your opponents because they're bottom-feeders of the college football world, it makes those one or two games against good teams that much easier to focus on. That's reaching if that is your only reason.
November 26, 201015 yr That's reaching if that is your only reason. It's not reaching, it's a legit reason. You put Boise in any BCS conference sans the BEast, and they loss at least once, most likely more.
November 26, 201015 yr Not sure how they make that call without even a measurement... Because all they had to do was get to the 50 after starting at the 40. The ball was marked at the 50...First down.
November 26, 201015 yr You put Boise in any BCS conference sans the BEast, and they loss at least once, most likely more. Based solely on your opinion...
November 26, 201015 yr Not sure how they make that call without even a measurement... Slowed it down on the DVR and he did not get close to the 50 yet they place the ball over the 50.
November 26, 201015 yr Because all they had to do was get to the 50 after starting at the 40. The ball was marked at the 50...First down. They had no way to see that the ball actually made it to the 50 though, unless there's an official that hangs in the air over the plays now...

November 26, 201015 yr They had no way to see that the ball actually made it to the 50 though, unless there's an official that hangs in the air over the plays now... If you saw the replay with the overhead camera you can clearly see that the ball made it to the 50. The officials got it right. No replay or measurment was needed.

I agree. The system is broken, not flawed. Forget the little man, in college football you have to be nearly flawless out of the gate. There's no reward for a team that improves all season and is playing the best football in the nation if they stubbed their toe early on. Look at the NFL or college basketball...if they had a BCS system in place, the national title or Super Bowl winners in many seasons wouldn't even get a chance to compete for it. USC was on fire in Carson Palmer's last year, but they had to settle for blowing out Iowa while two other teams battled it out for the mythical national title. The BCS system has severely dulled my interest in college football. But, I agree. With the system in place, it is what it is and Boise's easy schedule is a knock against them. Rightfully so.
November 26, 201015 yr Boise can't help what league they are in this year... can't penalize them for that. They went out and scheduled two ranked teams this year and beat them both. They deserve a shot. It's not like Auburn has been world beaters in their games this year (barely surviving UK is just one example). Kentucky was probably the 7th or 8th best opponent Auburn faced. UK would be Boise's 3rd or 4th best opponent.

You may very well be right but that's your opinion and cannot be proven fact, unfortunately. They could also go unbeaten and win by 2 touchdowns in each game. You can't let opinions keep Boise St out of the National Championship game.
