Who says Highlands is going? Harlan County will show up and play as hard as they possibly can. Stuff like that will feed the fire. Stoke it brother stoke it. In fact everyone who wants to take shots at HC all week long.

Well no matter the outcome, Johnson Central will be viewed as the #2 team in 5A.

 

Only if HHS wins it all by blowing teams out. If not, I would say Christian County are viewed as #2.

If this was John Hardin's team of last year, I would agree, but it's not and then again neither is Highlands. The John Hardin/Christian County game could be one of, if not the best semi-final match up come friday in all classes.

 

I saw the Anderson County/John Hardin game friday and from an athletic standpoint, Anderson County shoudn't have had a chance, but they did and should have won regardless. Anderson County outplayed John Hardin, no questions about it. John just made the plays when they needed too (big plays that is).

There are 3 teams left to stop what could be possable 7 state titles in row. You better get them this week or next or you are going to get tired of seeing this team is the state finals. They are loaded and ready to go at the freshman and JV level.

I wanted to point out this thread one more time and finally answer the question after the fact .............. I would say that it was not the real 5a championship because the winner of this game lost 50 to nothing against another 5a team on a neutral field.

But, these are not your big brother's Birds and with a mediocre Highlands team headed to Bowling Green is the John Hardin/Christian County game the real 5A title game?

 

I am going to answer my own question and say but no but I do believe the 5A title game has a chance of being extremely competitive.

Far from competitive. NKY still has the best football in the State.
