Returned an interception for a touchdown to go up one followed by 2 pt conversion.

Whew we dodged a bullet tonight. Bobcats came out and hit us in the mouth, we havent been tested like that this year, hopefully were learn the lesson and get refocused!

Very hard fought game. Somerset showed a lot of poise and determination coming back from a 26-14 3rd quarter deficit. The Briar Jumpers had 6 turnovers on the road at a very tough place to play and somehow found a way to come out with the win. Somerset was down 26-14 at the half but shut the Bobcats out in the 2nd half. Hats off to Breathitt County, they came to play and had a great game plan--they have a young team and will be tough next season. Congrats to the Briar Jumpers on their 2nd consecutive Regional Championsip--it wasn't pretty but there are now style points at this point of the season.

Sounds like a barn burner. Congratulations to the Briar Jumpers and to the Bobcats. It sounded like Breathitt played their hearts out and left it all on the field, and you really can't ask for more than that, especially from such a young team. It is extremely tough to put together 5 games in a row under playoff conditions to win a state championship. Somerset may have just gotten over their stumbling block with the 6 turnovers, and survived to play another day. Like I said in the Paducah Tilghman thread, good teams find a way to fight through the adversity and pull out a win.

Bunny men will need to play better against Belfry.

Breathitt has been a hard team to predict this season. They had games where they looked really good, and games where they didn't. I figured they might have something for Somerset if they came to play. Congratulations to the Briar Jumpers...my theory has always been that if you can turn the ball over that much and still win, you were the better team. And, AJG is correct. Style points are irrelevent now.
