Nice Article on Highlands Ty Seidl

Featured Replies

Here's a nice article on Highlands Ty Seidl (pronounced Sigh Del, which I had to add, having listened to his name mis-pronounced all year): http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20101118/SPT030201/11190369/0/SPT0301/Highlands-safety-all-set

As the article mentions, one of the keys to beating JC tonight will be Ty's ability to shed back side O linemen coming down to block him and making the sure tackle on JC's ball carriers to prevent decent gains turning into long TDs.

He's one of those 5'7 175 absolute maniacs on Highlands team that Beechwood's Noel Rash was talking about in his comments to Ryan Ernst a couple of months ago. Great kid too.

Don't know him, haven't seen him play but know the type, SK had one while I was there and he was the all time tackler. I've got some pretty funny stories from him as well, if he's anything like Cooper from SK he's all heart and I'd bet he'd make a hell of a wrestler too.

Ty probably would be a heck of a good wrestler. Tough, wirey kid. Pound for pound, one of the toughest kids I've ever seen.

One of the better tacklers I've seen in a while.

Ty is a great safety , one of the best I've seen.

I hope he doesn't have many tackles tonight. That means the D line and LB'ers are taking care of business . :thumb:

Is he 1? He made a lot of tackles against Ryle in their second game.

Yes. Unfortunately for HHS he had to make a lot of them on the first Ryle drive.

As I said in the JC HHS prediction thread, Seidl vs. Jude will be worth the price of admission tonight. Seidl covers the field from sideline to sideline. No one turns the corner on Highlands because of Seidl's knowledge and speed to the ball. IMO He is easily the best safety in N. Ky. and that is saying a lot because there are some really good ones this year.

Great article on a great kid from a great family! Watch out for "Froggy" (lil' bro) next year!

I forgot about his back injury his Freshman year. Tough young man.

And to think, his dad wanted him to pursue golf because he is also an exceptional golfer.:lol:

Ty is a great kid from a great family. Of course both boys get all their athletic ablility form thier Mom.:thumb:
