I said it in the prediction thread to much speed with frankfort for WV.

Frankfort is an extremely tough team. They are fundamentally sound and as stated many times in the prediction thread, very fast.

 

Walton-Verona has absolutely nothing to hang their head for. They are very strong and have been making progress in leaps as a young program. I predict great things for them in 2A. As a matter of fact, I think that they will be the team to beat in their district (which happens to be my team's district, too.) Congrats to the Bearcats on a great season and we'll look forward to playing you all next year. :thumb:

Disapointed that Frankforts concession stand only had hotdog's tonite, missed the burgers. Good win for Frankfort and they do have lots of

speed and quickness. Next week will be interesting. JD

The City of Frankfort and the Health department for some reason cracked down on concession stands in Frankfort. They are requiring schools to make upgrades and add grease traps. This is very expensive to do. So they are forced to only sell hotdogs.

 

 

As for the game, WV should be proud. They fought hard and did not quit. The have a solid beginning for a young program. Just keep working hard and it will pay off.

 

Panthers defense did a good job of handling the wing T. The defense score 14 points. Congrats to the dirty thirty.

Excellent job by Frankfort tonight! Players played hard and coaches with a excellent scheme on defense. A B gap stunts following the pulling guards. Congrats to the graduating seniors for WV. They have raised the bar high for the next class!

I guess I, as well as many others were not so aware of how good Frankfort is. Congratulations to Frankfort on the win and congratulations to WV on a good season.

^ I agree. I expected a 3 TD Frankfort win. I did not expect them to win this easily and I did not expect WV to not be able to score. Frankfort is always tough and always well coached and the "Dirty Thirty" impressed me with this one.

 

Next week, speed meet speed. It should be a good one.

The defense played well just was put in bad field position and was on the field too much. Walton offense did not play well at all. Good season for Walton and shows them how far they have come. The game also show them what the next step they need to take.

On the first drive of the game on third down around mid-field, walton te dropped a wide open pass at the 18 yard line. That could've changed the game. Walton held then got held and punted. Frankfort scored and wv blocked the pat. Next series after a first down #47 for wv got loose and frankfort db caught him about the 15 and stripped the ball from behind. Frankfort goes down and scores on the last play of the quarter i think and goes for two. Up 14-0 After that it looked like to me(from the stands) that the walton boys gave up a little offensively. Not taking ANYTHING away from frankforts d who played steller and scored a td and also returned a punt but if walton does anything with those opportunities, we all at the game are probably watching a totally different game. Not to say they win but not a 49-7 game. Frankfort got some early breaks and capitalized. Walton also hadn't been in a game like that ever so they desperately needed to capatilize on every opportunity they got, and didn't. I played with Jeff Barth and Jason Sullivan at Highlands and talked to them after the game and they couldn't be prouder of their boys! Great season for the young bearcat program, and I assure you knowing these two guys and I also know one of the guys they are bringing on staff next year, we're going to be talking more and more about these bearcats in the future! Frankfort was impressive with their speed and their defense but I also watched walton at beechwood this year and I think beechwood has too much offense for this frankfort team. Would NOT however be completely surprised if they did beat beechwood but they got their hands full next week. I think beechwood has their hands full offensively though too. Congrats on this win and good luck next week. BTW don't change that stadium, we need to keep all of those around that we can!
