OF Carl Crawford Rays

P Mark Buehrle White Sox

A lot of these things are popularity contests.

Jeter, as much as I like him and respect his career, is NOT a Gold Glover. Period.

Three Yankees cool, I thought Jeter was getting Old?

He is and was clearly not deserving of this award. What a joke.

Tex on the other hand was very deserving. And I thought I heard that Ichiro set the record for most GG's at his position.

Doesn't matter whay you people think, someone who counts does think he should have it. And they know what they are doing.

The Golden Glove seems to be a lifetime achievement award. Bueherle deserved the award after the opening day play.

They don't know obviously. Your blinded love for the Yanks would make you believe that even when everyone knows it's not true. Multiple stats say other wise.

He was 20th out of 21 in range factor that tells you enough right there. It's not his fault he won but it's amazing they just give this award to him like that when it's very obvious he isn't an Elite SS anymore.

I don't care if nine pinstripers were ararded Gold Gloves. I don't care if Jeter got the award unanimously; whether he deserved it or not (most probably not).

Nothing can douse that warm feeling I get knowing that the New York Payrolls did not win the World Series.

A whole bunch of people saw that on Day 1; and there probably wasn't a better play made by a pitcher all season. I think you're spot on - that went a long way towards cementing the GG for him.

So you would rather David Glass pocket all of the money in KC for all of those years and not reinvest in his team? I'm not a Yankees fan by any stretch, but I find it amusing that people constantly bash the Yankees for spending money on their team. What a concept?

I think somewhere there is a happy medium. Not saying everyone has to spend the same amount; as that is neither fair nor practical.

I'm old enough to remember when Kansas City was pretty much the New York Yankees' farm team.:D
