If you ever have time, it really is worth reading up on the Mormon church and their beliefs. It's extremely fascinating to see the dearth of extremely divergent beliefs they have from mainstream Christianity. And by and large, they are both totally able and complete unable to see those differences. They think of themselves as sharing the Christian faith with mainstream Christianity while having additional beliefs that essentially set them above it. And they systematically tell their members to not question or challenge those beliefs, and to steer away from anything that would cause them to do so. When I got my taste of crazy, I decided I was full up and got out.

Sounds pretty judgmental.

 

1) Christians judge everyone at all times. Is it being judgemental if I'm simply stating a fact?

 

2) Catholicism is a sect of Christianity, so I guess I fit right in.

RockMom, I don't mind his name just wondering if he loved to play first base. His choice in the religion aspect, would have to do some research more of the man, so I couldn't say no right now. I want the best person for my country.

 

Can't remember who mentioned my Religion was "started by one man also," the only thing my Man was killed and came back to life in three days.

 

The Bible talks about judging and Heaven and Hell and I've stated this since I came on BGPs, I've had people tell me I was going to Hell, and I will never ever tell someone that.

 

The Bible is it the truth or fiction? I have faith its the truth and some need to check it out.

There is the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and several other similar groups. These are the ones that make headlines for polygamy and have the raids happen. The LDS DOES NOT recognize these groups and saying they are represenatitive of Mormons is more or less equating that the 9/11 bombers are representative of Muslims as a whole.

Most of these groups split off when the LDS renounced polygamy (due to political pressure on Utah becoming a state).

 

Reading about the Mormon faith is actually very fascinating.

I don't think Romney is that bad and seems like the sort that may appeal to Independents quite a bit. With that said, I don't think he ever gets nominated he's not socially conservative enough and will be called a RINO by many in the base.

I'm thinking that if someone comes back from the dead of their own accord & power, they've pretty much proven themselves to be superior to anyone else.

Agree that Romney will appeal to Independents, and also that he'll struggle to get the Republican nomination.

I didn't say I don't believe in it. Just can't stand when people dismiss another faith, and elevate their own as the "one sure religion". Because at the end of the day, regardless of what we believe, none of us really know for sure. I see no reason for people to belittle the faith of others.

Sadly, it will for most Christians. They're the most judgemental group in America.

There's proof, but not just 100% definitive, which is where faith comes in.
