Who wins this first round game and why?

I think Cov Cath wins going away. If Ashland could play like they started the year, it could be a good game.

After a few solid showings late in the season for Cov Cath, especially on offense, I see them being tough to beat. I'm thinking it'll be a big game for both offenses though. 40-28

Really? I think this one is just a step away from being a "why bother wasting the gas" game for Ashland. They seem to have all but shifted to basketball mode for the year. I'm surprised, because starting off the year I thought they were going to be a tough test for JC in the district, but nothing was the same after Ironton smoked them. I hope you're right. I hate first round snoozers.

I agree, but the way the Tomcats finished down the stretch I think it will be a long night for them. Hope I'm wrong.

I think Cov. Cath. will win, but the Colonel defense shown has the propensity to be torched for many points. A turnover here, some penalties there, maybe a player gets dinged up and who knows?? I predict the game will be much closer to "intriguing" than "why bother wasting the gas." Best of luck to both teams for a hard fought and injury free game.

I hope that I am wrong but I believe Cov Cath may be a little too much for Ashland. I don't think that it will be a blowout like some are saying, Ashland has alot of pride in their program and will play hard. Should they get back to where they were early in the season they could win this one.
