I didn't do this intentionally, but does anyone see a pattern with those who were left playing in OH???

 

Were there any teams playing in OH this weekend that a KY team defeated? Just curious about some of the teams I am not familiar with.

Days like these make me appreciate just how big the Trinity victory over Elder was when you look at the bigger picture.

 

As far as this year, football is down in Kentucky but there is a lot of parity and that makes for a lot of great football.

That may be the biggest KY victory over an OH team for a long, long time.

I agree, it is probably the greatest victory of all time for KY vs. OH and it may never be topped.

Ohio is supposed to be a VERY good high school football state though, correct?

2002-Trinity beat Elder 44-24 in the first week or two of the season; Trinity added a touchdown late to make the game seem a little less competitive than it really was.

 

Elder won the rest of their games and won the OH DI State Championship.

 

Trinity won all their remaining games to win KY class 4A, defeating Male 59-56 in the Final.

Glad you started this thread, I thought about it but never did. Kind of puts things in perspective for this year in Ky. football. X, Newark Catholic (in D6), and Ironton are still playing I believe. What about Columbus Ready, they beat Lloyd, but I couldn't find a score on them?

They lost 28-6 this weekend.

I think Ironton won as well.

This team is 110% better than they were from week one to now.

 

 

I was there that day when Trinity spanked Elder and the game was not close.

 

 

I think it great when the so-called best schools from different states square off. I do wish the contracts were for two or four years. After all it for the most part only helps both teams.
