It's my recollection as well as Walter's recap (post #12) that had Dixie up 33-20 after 3 quarters. The Enquirer is not correct IMO if you're basing it on that....regardless you have to play 4 quarters and Dixie dominated the fourth and final quarter.

Holmes was only down 26-20 for quite a while. And Tressel's recap does sound right as far as the fake punt.

No I have not seen Conner play but they have a very young team. They lost to Holy Cross and Holy Cross is in a down year, If you went to the Dixie game you would know about all the if's you are talking about about. It was 26-20 Dixie in the fourth when Coach Lickert called a fake punt and did not get the first down. After this play and Dixie having a short field they capitalized and Holmes seemed to just bow out.

 

I realize Conner is young but I believe they could play with Holmes. The score was not 26-20 when he faked the punt it was 33-20. I am not a big believer in if's. We could go on all day with if's and Dixie's season this year, but those if's didn't happen.

Congrats to Dixie. Seems like they really put together a complete game against a talented Holmes team. Dixie has a very, very nice football team. Only having Pike play QB in the first half had to help his offensive performance. Congrats to Holmes also. I'm sure they are disappointed with the loss. If they learn from their mistakes, the loss will only make them better come the playoffs.
