Who Will Be The Best QB In The NFL In 5 Years?

Featured Replies

Will it be Manning or Brady or Brees?

What about Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco?

How about Ben or Eli or Rivers?

I'm curious who guys think because I KNOW the answer.

Tebow. :D

Just kidding... I will say Sam Bradford.

I might have to venture and say the real A-Rod . AAron Rodgers

I would say that I could see it still being Peyton Manning. I think Brees has a shot to still be up there. I think Brady will have fallen off by then. But I'll say Aaron Rodgers and possibly my boy Andrew Luck.

If Peyton Manning is still playing in five years, I'll be incredibly surprised.

You hope so.

I'm too young to really be able to remember Peyton Manning playing in college, but I think Luck is the best pure NFL style QB I've seen in college. If I'm the Browns, Bills, Raiders, or another crappy NFL team and I'm way out of it by the end of the regular season I'd think about maybe playing to try to get the #1 pick to get this guy. He has all the tools, is well coached and is a great passer. :thumb:

I think Tebow is going to be an above average QB as well, since it seems like Denver is going to give him time to mature. He has things that you can teach. Being a leader and winner can make up for some of his shortcomings IMO. Maybe he'll never have the numbers of Brees or Rodgers, but I think he can be a winning NFL QB.

We don't get to see a lot of Stanford games on TV, so I feel like Luck doesn't get his due. He reminds me a lot of Peyton at Tennessee. The thing that gets overlooked is his mobility- he can flat out run and maneuver in the pocket. Combine this with his arm, accuracy and acumen for the game and I really believe he has a shot to be the best in the NFL in 5 years.

Plus, there is something to be said for playing in a pro style offense in college. I think that helped Peyton to quickly adjust to the NFL game and it will have the same effect for Luck, I believe.

You hope so.

Honestly, I don't care one way or another. He's already 34, playing behind an aging line for a team that hasn't drafted all that well in recent years. If he's still playing in five years it won't be good for his long-term health, because he'll be taking some major hits between now and then. I may not like him, but I don't want to see him end up like Mike Webster.
