Not just that year but years before, imagine trying to cover a guy as atheletic and as big as Isaiah Mills running the post route, weighing 280 and standing 6'10.

I would have liked to have had him on the OL at his current size right now. (6'10" 314) Heck with running routes, put him on a Clyde Burchette strength program and let him open some holes as an OT.

I had never thought about Mills playing football but looking back it may have been his best sport, When Parks was talked about being a wide out, what if he had been a defensive end crashing the qb like the guy for Lousville, WOW! What about Josh Crawford didn't he play qb in the 7th grade, for his body size football may be have been his best sport also.

Or Cody Dixon a 6'6 QB could have been a big assist to the Hounds /Campers program.... On second thought he was not tough enough to handle the physcial play of football.

Noble has speed and could jump out of the gym and was 6'4". He could have been an excellent receiver.

Noble was at best 6'2 and did not have any desire to be hit.

If only Coach Burchette was welcomed to install his lifting program now. I have heard he is not wanted by the present staff?

Josh Crawford, unlike most high school players, will write his college scholarship by playing basketball. I am sure of that. Zap , why all the hate all the sudden for Josh and the Hounds? Have you changed sides?

Dual online personalities maybe?

WOW! Not tough enough I don't rember Dixon ever playing football at any level, how do you gauge this statement? Seems like he must have been fairly tough to go through all those knee and foot problems and still try to play basketball, as far as that goes who knows if any of these other tough guys (Mills, Noble, Parks, Crawford , etc.) were tough enough to play football. Mastermind Imo this was a low blow statement, were you tough enough to play football or any sport for that matter? Most of your posts make sense to me not this one.

Hate for Josh Crawford, you sir are very wrong, I played in high school with his uncle (a great guy) I rember when his mother was a cheerleader for Lynn Camp. Josh has more class than any ten freshman in high school, I love watching both local high school teams, But IMO A 6'4 forward does not write his own scolarship when he is a freshman, unless his name is Lebron or OJ. Why all the hate for Dixon and Noble, who made you the expert on football toughness anyway? Both Dixon an Noble seemed tough enough and would have been good football players if they had chose to play.

Unless he gets worse or injured Josh Crawford will get a scholarship in basketball at some level. You made a good point. If kids do not want to play football then they should not. It is too tough a sport for many. I have never picked up a basketball or thrown a football in my life........ lol.

Josh can play many positions. He must improve his outside shot, but I am sure he is ahead of the curve compared with most his age in our area. Actually he is better than most seniors in this area of the state, IMO. I never said he would write it as a freshman, but he is well on his way. He is ranked one of the top five in his class. Who was the last from this area to achieve that? Thomas, Farmer, Sanford, Phil Cox.....etc puts him in a pretty good class. Alot of players do one skill better than Crawford, but few do all the aspects of the game at the same level he does. That is what makes him a well rounded player.

Sounds as though it's going to bball.

Josh might have been the best football player in his class the last year he played, (5th or 6th grade).

Josh is probably finished growing and might need to develop an outside shot to be a big time player, IMO. Regardless, he is still an awesome freshman HS player...

Who/where is Coach Burchette from?

How tall is his father?

What did DJ do last night?

St X best us 21-20 John Hardin went for two the pass was incomplete with 11 seconds left. D.J. had 12 tackles 3 for loss, blocked a punt with 7 mins. left which started the John come back. Redhounds get take pride with one of the former players upholding the values that make great football players, which D.J. learned while wearing the C on his helmet. THANKS
