He's never been a problem child, was one of the few bright spots on miserable teams, ate up a lot of innings, and did what was asked of him. Wheels kind of fell off the past few seasons. But they really just don't have a need or spot for him in the playoffs. Clearly Bailey/Wood (whichever isn't a starter) is the better option for long relief.

 

I agree Coop. Although he's cashed in over the last couple years, I feel for Harang. I think you can directly track back his downturn to that marathon game in San Diego when Dusty used him in relief on short notice. Things were never the same. I think he's still got game if he works out some mechanical things.

I'm interested to see what the Reds do with Edmonds in the postseason ... I still think their best lineup has an Edmonds/Gomes platoon in left field.

 

I agree and I think that's what Dusty will do. Gomes will get the majority of the starts, but I think Edmonds gets 1-2 starts in a 5 game series.

I think his Bank account will heal his wounds.

The rosters can be changed between series so imo they will set the roster for each series based on certain matchups righty/lefty to best utilize the full 35 guys available.
