Whether Coke or Pepsi, I always refer to it as "a coke." Now if I want a Mountain Dew, Root Beer, Dr. Pepper or whatever else, then I'll call them by name. But rarely do I say the word "Pepsi," although I'm more than happy to drink them if that's what the restaurant serves.

I agree except if all they have is Pepsi I drink something else.

It was always "soft drink" around our house in Louisville.

Usually "pop," but sometimes I might change it up and go with "sodey pop."

Whatever it is I'm ordering, that's what I call it.

Mostly pop, sometimes coke, but never ever soda.
