December 21, 201015 yr I'm glad Fabio won. I didn't like him at first but he grew on me and played an honest game and not many can say that. I didn't get to watch the end, what is the new twist? The new twist is that when someone is voted off, they go to Redemption Island. There they wait till the next person is voted off and those two have a challenge to stay in the game. The winner stays on the island and the loser is gone. They didn't say when but at some point, the person left on Redemption Island rejoins the game.

Interesting My DVR didn't get the last 30 mins of the reunion show because football ran over, causing 60 Minutes to run over and Survivor start late.

December 22, 201015 yr The producers sometimes randomly throw in new twists which are intended to change the game some (Hidden Immunity Idols, Exile Island, and etc) but I feel like this move will definitely change the strategy of the game. I'm not sure if I like it yet or not. Either way a friend brought up a question, are the producers reaching here because the viewers are starting to dwindle out? I've never really paid attention to the ratings or anything but it did make me wonder. I mean they have had 20+ seasons of Survivor. I love the show and will continue to watch, but what do ya'll think?
December 22, 201015 yr I'm glad that Fabio won. However IMO, this is the 3rd season in a row that the best player didnt win (Sash). I too disagree. Sash got Russelled. He played a great game to get rid of those that could potentially be enemies but he ticked off to many people. IMVHO the social aspect of the game is just as important as the strategic. Remember these people are isolated with little other human contact. They are food deprived, dehydrated, dirty and tired. There's no way that you can expect someone in that state to lose and then just say oh well, you got me here's a million. IMVHO Sash may have been a student of the game but he certainly didn't learn anything from two straight seasons with Russell. Personally I thought it was awesome that he got zero votes and loved watching him squirm at the final tribal when he realized that the jurors were mad at him.
December 22, 201015 yr How did the votes end up going? I missed the finale. Split evenly Chase/Fabio until the last vote for Fabio.
December 22, 201015 yr Split evenly Chase/Fabio until the last vote for Fabio. Thanks. :thumb: Any chance you or someone else remembers who voted for whom?
December 22, 201015 yr Thanks. :thumb: Any chance you or someone else remembers who voted for whom? There are only a few I know, because it wasn't revealed who voted for whom, except when a few were voting @ TC, they showed a few. Like Brenda voted for Chase.
December 28, 201015 yr Fabio - Marty, Benry, NaOnka, Dan, and Kelly Chase - Holly, Jane, Brenda, and Alina Jane voting for Chase surprises me.
March 14, 20206 yr Sooooo, with the KHSAA spring dead period here I need something to do. I purchased a Hulu subscription and have decided to go back and start watching Survivor. I had seen every episode through Season 19. I began with #20 All-Stars. I just finished Nicaugura. Good to see Fabio win. This season may have had some of the worst players since Thailand. Who gives away immunity idols? Who quits over halfway through? I would have liked to have seen Jimmy Johnson last longer. 45-year old Jimmy Johnson may have done that. It's obvious central casting is more interested in eye candy than strategy when it comes to women. Probst is an executive producer on the show. He is involved in show decisions which is why he seemed more persuasive at Tribal Council about votes and tried talking the two women out of quitting. Afterward, even Probst called this one of the worst seasons up to this point. My favorite scene was Jane throwing water on the campfire before she was getting voted out. On to Redemption Island.
March 14, 20206 yr I rewatched them all from Nov 2018 through about March 2019. Loved going back and seeing all the players. I couldnt believe they let the girls that quit still be on the jury that season. Glad they changed that rule after.
