Talked to a coach from an opposing team last night and he told me that the Isler(sp) kid from NCC that plays O-line and DE was the best player they had played this year and that included the team from Ft. Thomas :eek: I hope the Camels come ready to play and can protect Kramer.

I would think so w/ their all of their county connections. Jake has played exceptionally so far this year. On Friday, he was very disciplined. He did not get sucked in on the play-action and was able to keep contain on the bootleg. This is such a big pass play for Ryle b/c it normally gives Hempell a soft corner and the option to throw or run. Jake took away the run option. If he had been facing a less elusive QB he would have had 2 or 3 sacks, but Hempel is a very good athlete. He does exactly what he is supposed to do and as a result makes it very hard to run off tackle to his side.

Can you not give other kids credit? Believe it or not, other schools have very good football players, not just your beloved Birds.

I disagree Mex. He is a great football player, but I think he is a little short for his attributes in d1 on the hardcourt.

I know, what I'm saying is as a DI Tackle. At 6'7" and having pretty good feet in the post, some coach needs to give him a good look. He could put at 30lbs on his frame and still have room for more.

Are you talking offense? What is his speed? He plays a very disciplined 40 d end, but how fast can he close distance?

Offense. He could play DTackle, I assume, but he would have to put on a ton of weight to play as a 1, 3, or 4 technique. He has great feet. I don't know his measurables, but I know that Hempel couldn't get outside of him b/c of his length. He would be a good OT prospect.

I really thought Campbell would take it up a notch this year. Last year they had the offense, much of which is back, but no defense. Had to think there'd be an improvement there. After last week's shellacking at the hands of CCH, it hard to say what Campbell has. Maybe it's just that CCH is a pretty darn good team, but I suspect it could be a long year again for Campbell. NCC will score frequently in this game.

I'd agree plus I don't think they pass block well enough to throw the ball every play. It really showed how often pressure was getting to the QB when they played good teams.

I know the spread is the hot new offense, but how does a school the size of CC not play a Power I or a run it down your throat offense with some passing sprinkled in?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Well I think the power I is an old outdated offense. You can run some out of the spread they just don't. If Boone in their heyday couldn't win state running it Campbell county has never had the type of o-lineman that could.
