Hey Hatz your coming in this weekend aren't you? There is a 5K road race this weekend in downtown Danville, why don't you join me for some fun.

oh wow, Lewis is starting this week.... ugh, i pray they can somehow pull off a miracle but it def lowers the chances with such inexperience, well either way ive had my eye on that freshmen QB, i dont remember his name but he just looks the part and he has a pretty good arm but great accuracy, maybe he will get a chance this friday night to prove himself, i honestly believe he can turn the team around as a freshmen, he has that type of potential, but we will only know when his time comes, and also any idea who is starting at FB this week, im hoping its Banks...

First of all, yes Rebel, I'm coming in. I'll actually be going to the Alumni Tailgate thing prior to the game.

 

As to the second, I would be more than happy to stand there and hold a drink for you while you run by. Even pour it on you if you want me to. But Homey don't do no Road Race Runs.

The kid's name is Jake Long. He will be a heck of a qb. I know MANY Mercer County fans who want Jake Long to start tomorrow. I think Lewis is a good qb and will be a good qb in time. I just wonder if he'll get that time. Lewis better not ever come off of the field because he may not ever get back on it when Jake gets a chance.

Almost one in every seven people who voted in the poll on this thread picked Mercer, yet none of them posted on the thread. Did they all just click on the wrong button? Or do one in seven people really think Mercer can win?

thegeneral, I didn't vote and I wouldn't pick Merer but if a poster were to come on this thread and pick Mercer County, that poster would certainly be ridiculed. The guy who picked Mercer to lose by one, was called out.

QB Darion Lewis for the Titans has a lot of potential and gave a great spark to the Titans last week. He is inexperienced and that showed in a few plays last week, but overall the young man really was impressive. There are many hurdles the Titans are going to have to overcome to get another win this season. The loss of Johnson, young QB, bad snaps on punts, and fundamentals of tackling to name a few. Saw too many kids trying to shoe string and arm tackle last week. You can't do that and win games. Fundamentals looked weak, but I'm still pulling for the Titans to have a successful year. It won't start tonight though against a very solid, fundamentally sound Rebel team.

Whether a person comes on this thread or not if you pick Mercer to beat Boyle County tonight.....yes....you will be ridiculed. It'd be hard to take anyone's knowledge seriously if they did so. It is what it is. Danville, Christian County and Lexington Catholic are the only teams on the regular season schedule with a chance to beat Boyle County.

If Danville plays like they did last week, you can scratch them off the list too. I went to the game last friday because boyle had a bye week and I wanted to see if their team reflected their record. let me tell ya, Somerset played good ball, but the Ads shot themselves in the foot several times with numerous fumbles and absolutely silly personal foul penalties. If that's what they plan on bringing to rebel stadium, it's going to be a long friday evening for coach Harp.
